Thank you for visiting our site today.
As you can see we are decorated and ready for you to come and enjoy afternoon tea. We are located outside of Wilmington,De in Middleboro Manor. Our house was built in  the mid 1700's and is one of the oldest in the area.  It is thought to have been an Inn or Tavern in the mid 1800's when Conestoga wagon drivers carrying gun powder would stop on their way from the DuPont Mills on the Brandywine River to  DuPont Landing on the Christina River. The name Middleburgh, comes from the original name given to the area by the Finnish settlers in the 1600's. The tearooms are decorated with period antiques, reproductions, and interesting local furnishings that enhance the warmth and ambiance of the rooms.  The tables are set with fine linens and china.
